Hello! We’re Phillip and Sierra, and welcome to our creative space—a contemporary take on the traditional mom-and-pop shop (we’re just in our 30s, after all!).
The name “8H” comes from the apartment where I, Phillip, grew up in New York City. It was there that my mother and I developed a passion for transforming our living space into intimate, inviting environments, or “nests,” as Sierra affectionately calls them. Each spring, we’d rejuvenate our home by rearranging and refreshing our surroundings.
Although Sierra and I have been best friends and roommates since 2016, our relationship became romantic in 2019. It was then that Sierra began immersing herself in interior design, simultaneously teaching me to sew. From that point on, our shared living spaces have consistently felt vibrant and inspired.
In 2019, my three-month stay in Japan marked a significant turning point for us, especially when Sierra joined me for a month-long visit, during which we openly expressed our feelings. Upon returning home, we’ve continuously collaborated—sewing, drawing, designing, crafting, and appreciating art together.
In 2021, we embarked on a memorable road trip across the United States, eventually deciding to settle in Bend, Oregon. Here, we are now happily married, homeowners, and dedicated partners in creative expression.
For us, creativity is an act of love, and we’re delighted to share our journey and our creations with you.

Below is our very first home together, where our creative journey truly began. We made prints, crafted DIY wall treatments, designed clothing and pillows, built furniture, and created most of the artwork displayed, though a few pieces are from other artists.

The space below is our current home, perfectly designed to accommodate our creative lifestyle. It allows us to practice yoga daily and enjoy movie nights with friends using our 4K projector. We also have a passion for board games, so we built a comfortable Japanese-style table that seats six.
