It all started with a tiny Brooklyn apartment labeled 8H; where creating something beautiful spanned what felt like a lifetime, and task was more important than time. More importantly, it is where I, Phillip, grew up. Now it’s the name of my studio. Studio 8H.
My parents didn’t buy art. Growing up, Disney blankets and VHS were the only forms of art we had. As a Graphic Design focused artist I search for ways to combine creativity with function and seek out modest, sustainable ways to do that while also feeling empowered by my canvas.
I curate my surroundings with intention and care to help foster a stillness and self-caring mindset in whatever space I call home.
So my mission is clear:
to make good design reachable.

I am a skilled designer of 11 years who works hard to create bespoke experiences. All of my textiles are meticulously crafted with the intention of sharing good spirit, relaxation, and inspiration. Also, these products are exclusive to Made in 8H, making this space one of enchantment and legend.

When creating products, I prioritize three essential factors: quality, feel, and undeniable dope-ness! This blend of artistry, durability and comfort creates an end product that not only enhance homes but also inspires use; and in-turn relaxation.

As I prioritize the well-being of all, my commitment to environmental consciousness and ethical practices remains paramount and on-going. I take pride in using FSC certified materials for the majority of my items, ensuring that my products align with sustainable and responsible sourcing. I proudly make-to-order and take extra care to not over produce to reduce waste.
